[anniversary] Soo Mee & Yen Peng, Rocky's, Koh Samui

Soo Mee contacted me to photograph her and Yen Peng's 10th wedding anniversary, and I couldn't have been happier to get to wake up for the sunrise to get some gorgeous photographs with them.

We chose to get some photos on the beach at Rocky's with the sun coming up...

Soo Mee wanted to bring some props and she chose these cute red heart balloons :)

We found some flowers to pick on the beach, and surprisingly there was a lot of purple around to match Soo Mee's dress :)

I love this photo, Yen Peng decided to give a purple flower to Soo Mee :)

We ended the session with some photos in the Rocky's Resort by the pool bar, I love the thatch roof of the bar!

[honeymoon] Nancy and Shawn, Chaweng Beach Sunrise, Koh Samui

Yippee to the first blog of 2014!!! And to start the year off I'm WAAAYY behind, haha. Nancy and Shawn, I'm so sorry! Better late than never is what they say, so I'm happy to finally be showcasing your gorgeous images.. ;)

Nancy and Shawn visited Samui for the last stopover of their adventurous and romantic honeymoon. Nancy decided she wanted some photos to capture some memories from her and Shawn's amazing honeymoon and contacted me spontaneously, fingers crossed.   When I met her, Nancy told me she hadn't planned on having photographs taken and being a lover of photography herself, she just felt that it should happen and contacted me in secret without telling Shawn. ;) (That's the best way to do it, girll.)

They met at school in Xinzheng where Nancy teaches at high school and Shawn the corresponding university. Three years of dating later and they were pronounced husband & wife.

The photographs are taken on Chaweng Beach. We had an amazing time together watching the sunrise and laughing, and I can't have imagined a better way to spend an early morning!  

I love Nancy's dress that she decided to wear! I love the colours of her tie dye dress with her turquoise earrings and Shawn's shirt :D

We walked along the beach and found some longtail boats, and I loved how well the colours go with Nancy & Shawn's outfits!

Awww, you guys are too cuute!! I love this photo :) Sometime a classic black and white just gets to me.

Haww, Shawn is one happy and not to mention LUCKY guy to have Nancy by his side :)

I love how travel savy Nancy and Shawn are, they told me they left their real rings at home and got some engraved during their visit to the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan. Travel safety at its best and it gives you great memories too. :D

When I asked what they usually do together, Nancy said when they were first dating Shawn always used to lift her onto his shoulder and they hadn't done it in a while though... So I asked them to show me ;)

We found heaps of these little crab holes in the sand that morning, I think they look cool!

Awww, I LOVE this photo so much!!! It makes me happy just looking at Nancy's gorgeous & happy smile!

I wanted to end on this note... sealed with a kiss ;) 

Annnd.... I'm sooo happy for these two because 2014 will be an amazing year for them, they're going to be welcoming a little addition into their family!!

[honeymoon] Rita and Steven, Chaweng Beach & Crystal Bay

Rita and Steven played together as children without knowing they were destined to be together... Rita giggled as she told me her side of the story (and there's always two sides!). These two could not be more perfect for each other and show it in the most adorable ways. The first time we met, I watched as Rita pulled medicine she'd packed in her handbag to make sure Steven's cold symptoms didn't get the better of him, and the way Steven looks at her when she'd being herself and having fun is just too cute!

Thank you so much for choosing me as your honeymoon photographer in Thailand! I had an absolute ball photographing you two and getting to know you both!

We started bright and early for Rita and Steven's sunrise honeymoon photography, and headed to Chaweng Beach to begin with. Rita's soft pink dress (one of her bridesmaid's dresses, I love how she found another use for it!) swirled in the wind as they walked hand in hand watching the sun start to rise up over the water. Slight waves rolled in gently towards as, and we all knew we'd picked a good day. Here; I'll the the photos do the talking now :)

 

I love the shape of Rita and Steven's rings, how awesome are they!?

This spot on Chaweng Beach is fast becoming one of my faves for sunrise sessions... There are so many things love about it, the light, the rocks, the boats...

 

 

Rita brought along this awesome bouquet with her, I think it works perfectly with her dress :)

There's even a swing there! I love swings so much, they remind me of childhood memories which are always so much fun!

These longtail fisherman boats make the perfect backdrop and help remind us all we're in THAILAND, I love it! :)

Next we headed to Silver Beach/ Crystal Bay... I'm still not sure on the exact name of this beach, but one thing is for sure... it's a beauty :) Rita & Steven did a quick change of clothes into something cooler and we were off!

We loved that this guy felt comfortable enough to come in and photobomb our honeymoon photography! He's totally a natural and must have been a model in his past life.. I mean, look at that pose!

Ohh Rita, you are soo gorgeous!!

I love, love love this photo!! You guys are too cute! Especially when you're having fun together :)

Lastly we stopped by the view point to get some photos of the view and, although it was a bit of a hike, it was well worth it I think :) Samui can be so beautiful!

Now I'm just as sad to end this blog post as I was when our session was coming to an end. But I think this is a great photo to finish off with, it shows how much fun we all had together on the day & how head over heels you two are! Here's to many more years of happiness together!
