They were born in Manchester, UK and met a whole 32 years ago! Their love story is filled with laughter, love, and now families of their families with grandchildren one of whom (a gorgeous baby girl) was just born a few weeks ago :)
We talked a bit in email, but that was nothing compared to real life... these two are such a lovely couple to get to know in person. Such an inspiration, to still have the kind of chemistry they do after being married for so long.
Chris, being the romantic that he is... planned a 15th vow renewal in Kenya, which is now 15 years ago. So it was only fitting to have another one for their 30th anniversary which on holiday in Samui!
They renewed their vows in a very Thai setting on the beach of Ban Sabai, a beautiful Thai retreat and spa, the perfect location for some traditional Thai surroundings, such a gorgeous place!
Jacqui of Samui Weddings and Events helped them plan the day, and did a great job at coordinating and styling everything, it was so beautiful!!
They had four traditional Thai dancers escort them to the ceremony spot on the beach :)
Where they exchanged their vows for the 3rd time...
And Chris gave Di another ring to add to her growing collection ;)
Ohhh, I love these two!! I couldn't have been happier than getting to spend the afternoon with such an amazing couple and bear witness to their love.
Here are the gorgeous Thai dancers... :)
Chris found "You're Still The One - Shania Twain" on his phone and started singing and asked Di to dance, how romantic... and as you can see, someone started a bonfire in the background, so it was perfect timing for the photos :)
Don't befooled by all the romantic photos though, Chris is one of the funniest guys and was cracking jokes the whole time, making sure Di was laughing throughout, they had a videography team filming them as well and had a great Q&A session... I'll be sharing the video here too when its out, so excited to see it!
The Ban Sabai has some beautiful Thai style surrounds, so we went into their gardens and reception area to get some more photos.
I hope you enjoyed reading about Di & Chris' story!
Happy Tuesday!!!

Jacqui popped some bubbly right after their ceremony to celebrate...
Once their ceremony was over they all huddled up to get some more traditional photos ;) Chis and Di take selfies wherever they go, so it made sense to get one during their second vow renewal!

And we had a gorgeous pup come up to us (as we do during so many of my sessions, on a side note, they must know I like them!), she was so cute and once she found out that Chris liked her she wouldn't leave his side!
The Ban Sabai has some beautiful Thai style surrounds, so we went into their gardens and reception area to get some more photos.
Then, when it was time for Di and Chris to go off to dinner we did one last walk along the beach as the sun set, and it was perfect! :)
Happy Tuesday!!!
