Sue decided to book me after her friend Rosanne recommended me, so thanks Rosanne!
When I met Sue before their wedding day, I just fell in love with how friendly, open and chilled out she is... totally my kind of bride!
With Sjaak (pronounced Jaak) being Dutch, Sue Brittish and them both living in South Africa together you'd wonder how their love story came together... it's a sweet one. They've actually been friends for AGES before they decided to marry one another and merge their lives together :)
They got (legally) married a few months ago, back in South Africa, and wanted to have more of an informal 'celebration' of their love in front of close friends and family. With some of their closest friends living on Samui, and both Sue and Sjaak loving Thailand, particularly Samui so much, it made sense to have their wedding celebration here. They rented out Villa Riva for weeks, and had all their guests stay with them in the villa to spend time together before their beautiful wedding day.
The views from Villa Riva are simply stunning, take a look.
The girls excitedly got ready together, having their hair and makeup done... :)
Sue and Sjaak had some gifts for the little ones who attended their wedding day, to say thank you :)
Sue chose to wear this gorgeous hairpiece in her hair, I LOVED it, because it contrasted with her beautiful red hair perfectly!
They had Patrick do the hair and makeup, he did a great job!
Meanwhile, I went down to the ceremony area to get some photos before the guests arrived...
I have to say, Jade of Go Samui Weddings did such a great job at planing and coordinating everything on the day, the styling was stunning and I love all the little details Sue & Sjaak had added to make their wedding theirs.
Gorgeous flowers by K. Jew of OK Flower Samui :)
What a gorgeous aisle to get to walk down... :)
These hanging flowers and vines made the ceiling of their Sala so pretty!
I got back to Sue to capture some sweet moment as her sister-in-law, Sue helped her get into her dress.
Beautiful bouquets of white lotus flowers and orchids....
Little Fleur and Tom made for cute a flower girl and boy :)
GAH... stunning, Sue, really!
The boys obviously thought she looked gorgeous as well!
We had a soft bottle of sparkling, so when we finally got one to really POP, everyone fully cheered Sjaak on, it was such a nice moment!
Then he decided he couldn't wait for a glass, so out of the bottle it was, haha! :)
I asked Sue & Sjaak to sneak away with me for some couple portraits...
And got some of the most gorgeous, intimate photos... this is love.
HAHA... of course we had to get a non-serious one, Tarzan style! :)
I love all the details from their wedding, so beautiful.
Especially the dinner tables, with all these gorgeous candles and flowers...
The think I love about smaller weddings, is it just feels like a family gathering, everyone knows everyone and its so sweet to be able to witness such an emotional day for everyone at the wedding and see them have fun afterwards.
I left them to enjoy their dinner after a really funny toast...
I hope you loved this gorgeous wedding as much as I do!
Please let me know what you think in the comments :)
Happy Saturday!
