[wedding] Laura and Richard, Beach Republic, Lamai Beach, Koh Samui

I really don't know where to start with this blog post... Laura and Richard's wedding was AH-MAZING and I'm not sure if I'll be able to describe the pure awesomeness of their day but I'll give it a go!

After meeting them for their Pre-Wedding and getting to know them, I was so excited for what their day would turn out to be! Laura was so relaxed and chill maybe it was being back on Koh Samui, or maybe it was just all the fun they'd been having so far. Their guests had been slowly arriving on the island and Laura and Rich had been showing everyone around and making sure that this was the wedding/holiday for everyone to remember...

They chose to have their wedding at the beautiful Beach Republic, and Julie the Resident Manager there helped plan and decorate everything for them... Their wedding date fell on her birthday as well so we all got to sing 'Happy Birthday' too!

Here goes...their day turned out to be more fun than anything I could've imagined :)

I love Laura and Rich's invitations made to look like passports!

I think Rich had been dreaming of getting this shot since waaay back in his modelling days!

They had their friends and family get photos of each other before the ceremony... I think they look cute as hanging up like this :)

Their ceremony set up looked stunning, thanks to Julie!

I couldn't get over Laura's amazing hair and makeup by the very talented Dany Lopez... simply gorgeous!

 

Rich got these gifts for Laura and sent them to her in the morning, a stunning Marc Jacobs bag and Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel... she loved them both! :)

Laura's gorgeous bouquet was made up of white frangipanis and orchids :) So pretty..

I love this photo! Too cuuute!

I love being able to witness some of the happiest moments in people's lives and it makes me so happy to get to be a part of it and capturing their memories made that day :)

We all took to the beach short after to get some gorgeous photos of the happy couple and their bridal party!

Laura, I've said it before but I'm going to have to say it again... you are SO. STUNNING.

What a cute moment, I love this!

Aaaand now I'm convinced it's Laura that should take up modelling instead!

I'm so glad I asked you to stop here and you made these gorgeous moments happen all by yourselves... so in love :)

The speeches were hilarious to say the least and I may have found out a little more about Richard than I would've liked to... hmmm haha!

The fireshow was spectacular and I love this moment with Rich hugging Nik and Laura chatting away with the firedancer in the background and DJ Dan as well!

They organised for all of their guests to be able to set off a lantern each, these are a symbol of good fortune in Thailand.

Everyone got some seriously awesome dance moves on right after this and the fun wasn't anywhere near over. Laura & Rich thank you so much for letting me photograph your amazing wedding!

[wedding] Ha and Chris, The Residence 1 - Miskawaan, Koh Samui, Thailand

I knew I would love working with Chris and Ha as soon as I met them and found out they're Australian, and my feelings were reinforced on their special day. I love being surrounded by a bunch of Aussies, wedding day or not we've got a lot to talk about ;) Ha was so relaxed spending time with her favorite women all getting ready together, including Chris's mum, whom Ha helped do her makeup. Chris and the guys were at ease watching sports and having some beers while getting ready. Then they fell into each others arm like naturals, not even taking notice of the camera and just enjoying and savoring the moments together after their ceremony.

Ha and Chris, thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer in Thailand. I loved every minute of spending your wedding day with you and your families, you were so much fun!

 

Ha and Chris decided to stay and have their ceremony at the beautiful brand new The Residence 1, of Miskawaan Villas in Maenam. It proved to be the perfect backdrop for these two and their lovely families and close friends to spend the afternoon and night celebrating away.

 

I couldn't get over Ha's amazing choice of flowers for her and her bridesmaids bouquets. I simply fell in love with these huge open orchids.

Chris cleaned up quite well and I had a great time getting some quick shots of him and his mates. 

Ha and Chris chose Natalie of Partners  (who is also a long time friend of theirs) for their planning and decorations, and I have to say I loved every detail as they all came together to represent Ha and Chris's style; relaxed and laid back, yet fun, classy and beautiful.

 

I couldn't get over Ha's lovely and infectious laugh, I loved it! Doesn't she look so beautiful here as well?

It was so easy spending time alone with Ha and Chris during their wedding portraits, I hardly had to tell them to do anything, they are just so in love and couldn't even stop being cute for one minute :)

 

I love this moment, it's a true reflection of how Ha and Chris love; being side by side each other all the way and having fun at the same time. Beautiful.

Oh, Ha... you are sooo stunning, I can't handle it. GAH.

This beautiful lighting and villa decoration is all organised, coordinated and done by Natalie of Partners, I think she does such an amazing job at making each location look unique and decorating it to her couple's tastes. 

 

Ha and Chris had a classical guitarist playing the most beautiful music during their dinner and in between speeches, it was such an amazing atmosphere being there :)

 

They cut their cake surrounded by sparklers!

 

 

 Chris's freinds started singing a song for them to dance to after the cake cutting, and Ha absolutely loved it :)

  

They also opted to have a fireshow, which was a stunning feature and entertainment to add to their evening.

Ha really wanted everyone to have a good time, and she made sure that happened for all her dear friends and family at the wedding.

 

I'll end on this note, Ha and Chris kissing under their beautiful firework display. It's so romantic and I'm sure one of their favorite memories. I hope you both enjoy making more amazing ones like this :)
